James Bond rebooted for sure, Craig stepped into the suit following Pierce in 2006.

Daniel marked the end of Bond as we had all come to know him. Pierce made an excellent Bond, however his films, no matter how well they grossed, have been unter scrutiny, especially Die Another Day with the terrible CGi and other worldy technology supposedly going on in the story line.

Die Another Day welcomed back Aston Martin with a Vanquish, the then ultimate Aston money could buy.

Daniel got an Aston Martin DBS. With the Vanquish now obsolete and an old model, the not yet released DBS was destined for a showcase on Casino Royale!

Right up until Bond rolls it whilst evading poor Vespa.

Craig made his entrance in Casino Royale, Bond fans and movie goers alike were stunned by Craigs performance and he became Bond . . . James Bond.

Daniel Craigs second Bond outing ‘Quantum of Solace’ was not only a sequel to Casino Royale it also starts off with a fantastic Car Chase with Bond himself driving once again the Aston Martin DBS. Once again, the car gets a beating.

So far Daniels main car has been DBS however we have, in Casino Royale, had him driving a DB5. Nostalagi eh?

Ford EDGE (QOS)

Bond 23 is expected to be released in 2011 with shooting taking place near the end of 2010.

Unless Aston Martin want him in the newly released Rapide or V12 Vantage I’m pretty confident the DBS will be with us for a 3rd time.

We’ll leave this profile open for further updates as Daniel is currently serving Mi6 as James Bond, we have no idea what’s in store.

James Bond Cars – Pierce Brosnan

Pierce, brought back Bond to the masses. With a very long gap in the franchise, Pierce took over from Timothy Dalton, to become James Bond in 1995 in the movie ‘Goldeneye’.

Pierce Brosnan, quite literally, IS James Bond to all those Born in the 80’s and 90’s, probabley why there was such an uproar when Daniel Craig stepped in a couple of years ago.

Timothy Dalton drove an Aston Martin, however Pierce, was mainly driving German BMWs, until his last outing when we saw him in the Aston Martin Vanquish.

We also saw Pierce drive a BMW R1200 Motorbike and Q’s Fishing Boat.

Aston Martin Vanquish – James Bonds Car – The Vanish

Our favourite here at ‘James Bond Cars‘ is definitely the Aston Martin Vanquish.

In our view, the Vanquish was basically the best Aston ever produced. We much prefer its looks over the newer DBS. The Vanquish was also the fastest production car Aston Martin had EVER made. The original Vanquish produced a 190mph top speed, with the revised Vanquish ‘S’ managing an eye watering 208mph. Now that, is Bond.

The Vanquish is also very symbolic in Bond world as it marked the return to the British marque in Die Another Day. After 3 movies with Pierce Brosnan sitting behind the wheel of some very well equipped German BMWs.

Aston Martin ‘Vanish’

James Bonds Quartermaster liked to call the car, the ‘Vanish’ due it’s extremely futuristic capability of dissapearing, or more technically put, ‘Adaptive Camouflage Cloaking System’, which incorporated cameras on each side of the car, which then displayed what they viewed on the opposite side of the car using a special coating. Very much like turning the whole car into a video screen almost.

Weapons which we saw on the Vanish included, two .50 Caliber Auto-Cannons, 5 Rocket Propelled Grenades behind the front Grille. Target Tracking shotguns which are on retractable mounts that come out of the Aston Martins bonnet vents, Infra-Red Search and Tracking system and spike tyres.

Also included, was a passenger ejector seat which was a call back to the DB5 of Sean Connerys Days. In Die Another Day however, the seat was ejected whilst the car was upside down sliding on its roof, to propel and twist the car back onto it’s wheels so that Bond could carry on whooping the Lime Green Jaguar XK of ‘Zao’.

Welcome to a brand new site, that is dedicated to James Bond Cars, Vehicle and Aircraft.

Amongst others there are going to be in depth information on Aston Martin, BMW, Lotus and many more. We’re also going to include a time-line of James Bond Cars, what filmed they appeared and which Mr Bond got to drive the car in the films.

We’d just like to say it’s fantastic that James Bond is back in his natural habitat with Aston Martin and his beautiful Aston Martin DBS.
